FTUI Professors Council is one of three organs of the UI Faculty of Engineering that carries out the functions of Scientific Development, Ethics Enforcement, and Academic Culture Development (PP 68 of 2013).
FTUI Professors Council has the following duties and responsibilities:
- Fostering academic life and moral integrity and ethics of the academic community; determine and ensure the implementation of the academic community code of ethics;
- Provide consideration and direction in scientific development at FTUI both in scientific disciplines, as well as towards multi-disciplinary and cross-disciplinary development;
- Ensure the implementation of regulations implementing academic freedom, academic platforms freedom, and scientific autonomy;
- Carry out assessments and provide approval for promotions to the functional positions of associate professors and professors to be followed up by the Chancellor;
- Carry out examinations and prepare recommendations for sanctions against violations of norms and ethics by academics to be determined and implemented by the Chancellor;
- Propose the granting or revocation of honorary degrees and academic awards to be determined by the Chancellor;
- Monitoring, developing and guaranteeing scientific autonomy at UI; and
- Provide consideration/input to the Chancellor in the preparation and/or changes to the RPJP, Strategic Plan or RKA in the academic field.
