Undergraduate Program

The Undergraduate Program at Universitas Indonesia focuses on producing graduates with the following qualifications:

  • Having knowledge of the basic science and skills in a particular field of study.
  • Being able to implement the science, knowledge, and skills acquired by their respective field of study
  • Being able to keep abreast of the development and growth of science and technology.

Undergraduate Program in FTUI aims to produce graduates with competencies set by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) and Washington Accord Based as follows:

  • Being able to implement the basic science, the basic science of engineering, and technology.
  • Being able to design and conduct experiments and data analyses.
  • Being able to design a system and its components.
  • Understanding professional responsibility and ethics.
  • Being able to work together in a multidisciplinary group.
  • Being able to identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems.
  • Being able to communicate effectively.
  • Having broad knowledge and understanding of the technological impacts of their projects on both local and global scale.
  • Having the motivation and ability to learn continuously.
  • Knowing the latest engineering problems.
  • Being able and skilled in using the latest engineering methods.
  • Producing graduates from the Architecture Study Program with competence by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB).

GRADUATE REQUIREMENTS

The requirements for graduating from the undergraduate engineering education program are to achieve a minimum of 144 credits by the applicable curriculum with a minimum grade of C and complete within 8-12 semesters for an academic load scheduled for 8 semesters. The degrees obtained are Bachelor of Engineering (S.T.) or Bachelor of Architecture (S.Ars).

  Civil Engineering Department
  • Civil Engineering Study Program  is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in the principles, theories, and practical skills needed to plan, design, construct, and maintain infrastructure projects. Civil engineering encompasses a wide range of disciplines, including structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, transportation engineering, and environmental engineering. More Information

Graduate Profile: Able to design and build civil engineering infrastructures by considering social, economic, and environmental aspects over the infrastructures’ life cycle.

  • Environmental Engineering Study Program is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to address complex environmental challenges. Environmental engineering integrates principles from various engineering disciplines to develop sustainable solutions for protecting and improving the environment. More Information

Graduate Profile: Able to have a career in planning, design, implementation, and control of environmental engineering system with the environment and socio-economic consideration.

Civil Engineering Department Curriculum


  Mechanical Engineering Department
  • Mechanical Engineering Study Program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in the principles, theories, and practical skills necessary for designing, analyzing, and manufacturing mechanical systems. Mechanical engineering covers a broad range of topics, from mechanics and thermodynamics to materials and robotics. More Information

Graduate Profile: Able to analyze and design energy systems, industrial machinery, building facilities, and the transportation industry in contributing to meeting the goals of sustainable development.

  • Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering Study Program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in the design, construction, and maintenance of ships and marine structures. This interdisciplinary field integrates principles from naval architecture, marine engineering, and other related engineering disciplines. The program prepares students for careers in the maritime industry, including ship design, shipbuilding, offshore engineering, and marine transportation. More Information

Mechanical Engineering Department Curriculum


Electrical Engineering Department
  • Electrical Engineering Study Program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in the principles, theories, and practical skills needed to design, analyze, and optimize electrical systems and devices. Electrical engineering encompasses a wide range of topics, from electronics and power systems to telecommunications and control systems.

Graduate Profile: Able to analyze and design the systems in the field of Electrical Engineering that can provide solutions to problems in society in accordance with professional ethics.

  • Computer Engineering Study Program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in the principles, theories, and practical skills needed to design, develop, and maintain computer systems and networks. It is an interdisciplinary field that integrates aspects of both computer science and electrical engineering.

Graduate Profile: Able to design information networks and computer-based systems systematically using standard methods in accordance with professional ethics.

  • Biomedical Engineering Study Program is a science that studies engineering principles applied to biology and medicine for health service purposes. The FTUI Biomedical Engineering Study Program was formed to produce experts who are able to design and build prototypes of devices, equipment, and technology that support the health service industry.

Graduate Profile:Able to meet the challenges of the world of work in the field of medical equipment technology for health facilities such as hospitals.

Metallurgical & Materials Engineering Department
  • Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Study Program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the properties, processing, and applications of metals and materials. This field combines principles from chemistry, physics, and engineering to develop and improve materials for various industries. More Information
