Scholarship Information Session for Master’s Program at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology

The National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST) visited the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI) to conduct a scholarship information session for postgraduate programs. The event took place in the Smart Meeting Room, FTUI Dean’s Building, on Monday (August 25), and was attended by students from FTUI as well as other universities, including Bina Nusantara University, Institut Teknologi Bandung, Universitas Diponegoro, and others.

Representatives from both FTUI and NTUST attended the event. From FTUI, attendees included Vice Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration, Dr.-Ing. Ir. Dalhar Susanto, and Head of the Planning, Performance Monitoring, and Education Modernization Unit, Prof. Dr. Ir. Harinaldi, M.Eng. From NTUST, attendees included Dean of the College of Engineering, Ming-Jyh Chern, and his delegation, Dean of the College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Jenq-Shiou Leu, along with his team, and Associate Dean of the Industry-Academia Innovation College, Yih-Lin Cheng, and colleagues.

Opening the session, Dr. Dalhar delivered his welcoming remarks, “Through today’s session, we hope to learn more about NTUST’s postgraduate programs, available scholarships, and the dynamic campus life in Taiwan. The sharing and interactive sessions, including Q&A and interviews, will surely provide our students with deeper insights and greater motivation to explore these opportunities.”

Ming-Jyh Chern also expressed his enthusiasm in his remarks, “In addition to conducting interviews with you, we have also invited several companies from Taiwan to offer scholarships. This is a great opportunity for you to study in Taiwan.”

Jenq-Shiou Leu began his presentation by introducing NTUST, “We are the university in Taiwan with the highest number of international students — and the majority of them come from Indonesia,” he stated. He further explained that more than 1,300 international students from 64 countries are currently studying at NTUST.

In her presentation, Yih-Lin Cheng highlighted NTUST’s strong reputation, “NTUST is recognized as the leading engineering and most internationalized university in Taiwan, making it one of the top institutions offering the largest number of scholarship opportunities in the country.”

FTUI Dean, Prof. Kemas Ridwan Kurniawan, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., expressed his appreciation, saying “We extend our deepest gratitude to the NTUST delegation for their visit and commitment to strengthening international collaboration in higher education. This scholarship information session is not only a valuable opportunity to introduce NTUST and its academic excellence to FTUI students but also a meaningful step toward empowering the future of global talents, especially among FTUI students.”

Following the session, representatives from NTUST and the invited companies conducted interviews with the attending students.
