On Thursday (10/11/2022), the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI) received a visit from the Petronas University of Technology (UTP) Malaysia in order to establish cooperation in the academic field.
On this visit, the UTP delegation was represented by the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Prof. Ir. Dr. Hilmi Mukhtar; Dean of the Postgraduate Study Center, Assoc Prof. Ir. Dr. Rosdiazli Ibrahim; Senior Director of Student Development Center, Assoc Prof. Dr. Nurlidia Mansor; Technopreneurship Office, Zamri Abdullah Ceng; and UTP Lecturer, Dr. Dimas B.E. Darmowijoyo.
The activity began with remarks from each party. In his remarks, the Dean of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, ST., M.Eng., IPU said, “FTUI and UTP are no strangers anymore, I have personally collaborated with UTP lecturers. Thank you for visiting UTP to FTUI. We hope that on another occasion we will be from FTUI can return visits to UTP and also with this collaboration in the future we can strengthen the relationship between FTUI and UTP.”
Prof. Ir. Dr. Hilmi Mukhtar, as UTP Deputy Chancellor for Academic Affairs stated in his remarks, “Two years have passed after Covid-19, UTP has many plans to increase relations and networks, including working with FTUI. We want this academic collaboration between UTP and FTUI to be able to bind up with good.”
The meeting continued with a brief presentation on the profiles of FTUI and UTP, and a discussion on academic cooperation between FTUI and UTP. Both parties agreed to cooperate in the academic field. There are three collaborations that have been agreed to be established between FTUI and UTP, namely the Student Mobility, Double Degree, and Visiting Lecturer programs. After the discussion session ended, the event continued with the giving of souvenirs from FTUI to UTP and vice versa from UTP to FTUI. Then, ended with a group photo session.
