Strengthening the Integrity Culture: Pillar Team 1 of ZI FTUI Enhances Change Management Strategies

On Wednesday, June 18th, the Pillar Team 1 of the Integrity Zone (IZ) at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI), held its regular coordination meeting in the Grand Lecturer Room, FTUI Dean’s Office. This meeting is part of the ongoing agenda aimed at implementing the Bureaucratic Reform program at FTUI, particularly in the scope of Pillar 1: Change Management.

The coordination meeting served as a platform for evaluating and formulating strategic steps to ensure that all performance indicators and supporting documents for the Integrity Zone can be optimally met. This aligns with FTUI’s commitment to establishing an Integrity Zone as a foundation for achieving a Corruption-Free Area (WBK) and a Clean and Service-Oriented Bureaucracy (WBBM) within the faculty.

One of the main points discussed during the meeting was the plan to reorganize the Change Agents, involving faculty members and educational staff from various units within FTUI. This initiative calls for the drafting or updating of more systematic Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that outline the roles, responsibilities, and performance indicators of the Change Agents moving forward.

In his remarks, Prof. Dr. Ir. Harinaldi, M.Eng., the Coordinator of Pillar 1, emphasized the importance of developing a roadmap for implementing change management over the next four years. This roadmap will be aligned with the new leadership period and will focus on priority areas such as: continuing the periodic Integrity Zone campaign, particularly regarding academic integrity issues; strengthening the role of Change Agents through Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and workshops; and conducting benchmarking visits to the Faculty of Public Health (FKM) at UI to study best practices for implementing the Integrity Zone in the academic environment.

In a separate statement, Prof. Kemas Ridwan Kurniawan, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., the Dean of FTUI, stated, “Consistency in the implementation of change management is a fundamental aspect of building a transparent and integrity-driven work culture. We fully support the strategic steps outlined by the Pillar Team 1, including involving faculty and staff as Change Agents, as well as efforts to strengthen the integrity campaign on a continuous basis,” said Prof. Kemas.
