Study Visit of FT Unand to FTUI: Strategic Collaboration for Campus Management and Funding

In connection with the enhancement of academic and student activities and efforts to improve laboratory management in support of PTN-BH status, on Monday (21/10), the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Andalas (FT Unand), conducted a visit to the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI). Through this visit, the FT Unand delegation aimed to learn about FTUI’s approach to “Income Genetics.”

The FT Unand delegation, led by Dr. Ir. Is Prima Nanda, M.T., Dean of FT Unand, was warmly welcomed by the FTUI team, headed by Vice Dean Prof. Dr. Ir. Yanuar, M.Eng. The visit occurred in the Meeting Room on the 2nd floor of the FTUI Dean Building.

In his welcoming remarks, Prof. Yanuar said, “Welcome to the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia. It is an honour for us to welcome all of you to our campus. We hope this visit is a valuable opportunity to share knowledge, experience, and innovation in academic and research fields.”

Prof. Yanuar also explained the sources and flow of funding within FTUI. Funding sources include the Service Lab and Ventura, which collaborates with other institutions. The fund flow involves the Faculty Budget, Budget Approval, and the Management and Implementation of Activities. If there are remaining funds from the RKAT (Annual Work Plan and Budget), they are invested in the construction of buildings or laboratories. However, any remaining funds are currently redirected to the HR and IT sectors.

The study visit concluded with an exchange of souvenirs between FTUI and FT Unand. Hopefully, this study visit will strengthen the collaborative relationship between FT Unand and FTUI.

The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Andalas delegation included Dr. Ir. Is Prima Nanda, M.T., Dean of FT Unand, Ir. Ridwan, M.T., Manager of Education and Student Affairs, and Aulia, Ph.D., Manager of HR and Information Technology.
