Supporting Tax Compliance: FTUI Collaborates with UI Vocational Program for Annual Tax Return Filing Assistance

The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI) once again organized an assistance program for filing Annual Tax Returns (SPT) for lecturers and administrative staff. This assistance program was held over two days, on March 13-14, 2025, at the SESL-Energy Modeling Room 1, IDE Building, FTUI. Fourth-semester students from the UI Vocational Program’s Tax Administration Study Program served as facilitators. These students guided FTUI employees in understanding the tax filing process by prevailing regulations.

“This event brings many benefits to both FTUI and the UI Vocational Program. I am delighted to be directly involved, as it allows me to interact with taxpayers firsthand. Moreover, this experience helps us sharpen our skills and apply our acquired knowledge. It is not just a practice session but also a valuable experience that builds our confidence as students,” said Stephania Giani, one of the student facilitators from the UI Vocational Program.

“I am very grateful for the Annual Tax Return filing assistance for FTUI staff, as it makes the tax reporting process much easier without having to search for information on my own. With direct support from UI Vocational students, we are not only assisted in filling out the SPT but also gain a better understanding of the tax reporting process,” said Rosy Tris Subonowati, an FTUI employee.

In a separate statement, Prof. Kemas Ridwan Kurniawan, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., Dean of FTUI, emphasized, “This Annual Tax Return filing assistance program facilitates FTUI lecturers and staff in fulfilling their tax obligations. Additionally, it allows UI Vocational students to apply their knowledge in a professional setting.”

Prof. Kemas added that through this initiative, FTUI hopes that all lecturers and staff can more easily fulfill their tax obligations on time and comply with regulations. “This initiative reflects FTUI’s commitment to supporting employee compliance with tax regulations and fostering a culture of orderly and transparent administration in the academic environment,” he concluded.
