The Entrepreneurship and Innovation Unit (WIN) of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI), in collaboration with the Wadhwani Foundation, organized the Technopreneurship Camp 2024. The program runs from June to September 2024, aiming to develop entrepreneurial skills for FTUI students and open opportunities for cross-department collaboration within UI.
Held annually, this year’s Technopreneurship Camp is attended by 24 teams of students from various departments. The program offers numerous benefits for participants, including a Global Jury Certificate, academic recognition in the form of credits (MBKM Courses), and the opportunity to receive funding for the best teams. In addition, participants receive weekly guidance from mentors at the Wadhwani Foundation, led by Ade Idris, M.Sc., M.Sc., MBA.
With extensive experience in entrepreneurship, Ade divides the mentoring sessions into 14 stages, which he refers to as the Venture Creation Journey. This journey has four milestones, each with specific achievements, ranging from launching a startup, presenting a business model, and reporting progress, to the final presentation of their business outcomes.

Prof. Ir. Mahmud Sudibandriyo, M.Sc., Ph.D., the Acting Dean of FTUI, expressed positive feedback on the organization of Technopreneurship Camp 2024. “This event is part of FTUI’s commitment to shaping young innovators who are brave enough to take on challenges in the business world. I hope the knowledge and materials gained from this camp will be realized by the participants in the form of real businesses in the future,” said Prof. Mahmud.
With the spirit of collaboration and innovation, the FTUI Technopreneurship Camp 2024 is expected to prepare young generations who are not only academically competent but also ready to compete in the dynamic business world. The outcome of this event is expected not only to result in sustainable startups but also to create opportunities for FTUI students to establish entrepreneurial collaborations across various disciplines within UI.
