The Dean’s Roadshow Greets the Department of Ramadan Edition

Entering the holy month of Ramadan, the Dean of FTUI once again held the Ramadhan edition of the Dean Greeting Roadshow. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, ST., M.Eng., IPU was accompanied by the Deputy Dean for Education, Research and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ir. Yanuar, M.Eng., M.Sc., and Deputy Dean for Resources, Ventures and General Administration Prof. Ir. Mahmud Sudibandriyo, M.Sc., Ph.D. visited 7 departments to strengthen synergy and at the same time establish friendships with fellow members of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI).

Roadshow activities start from the Electrical Engineering Department on Wednesday (29/3), the Architecture Department on Thursday (303), the Mechanical Engineering Department on Friday (31/3), the Chemical Engineering Department on Monday (3/4), the Industrial Engineering Department on Tuesday (4/4), Department of Civil Engineering on Wednesday (5/4), and ending with the Department of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering on Thursday (6/4). The Dean Greet the Department is a forum for dialogue among faculty leaders. In this case, the Dean and the two Deputy Deans listen to the aspirations, suggestions, input, and advice from the department regarding matters that can be accommodated in future activity programs.

On this occasion, Prof. Heri conveyed several highlights of the Entrepreneur Dean’s achievements in 2022, some of which were regarding FTUI’s achievement of becoming the best engineering campus in Indonesia based on THE World University Ranking, the establishment of collaboration between FTUI and UC Berkeley, and UI’s achievement of outstanding students since it was last obtained 29 years ago.

“During the one-year leadership of the Entrepreneur Dean, we have achieved many accomplishments and achievements together. Of course, this success can be realized thanks to the existence of good cooperative relations among members of the community to make FTUI better,” said Prof. Harry.

However, Prof. Heri said that leaders still need feedback in the form of aspirations, input, suggestions and criticism from members of the community as a form of quality control so that the quality of FTUI can improve and get better in the following years.

Departing from this, what will be the focus in 2023 is the expansion of collaboration engagement both academically and non-academically as well as the best possible management of research grants so that in the future it will facilitate the accommodation of lab equipment that can develop educational modernization and thematic innovation research according to expertise. the lecturers. Apart from that, increasing the interest of alumni of undergraduate students to continue their master’s and doctoral studies at FTUI is also a concern by focusing on the fast track and double degree programs through scholarship facilities.

Besides that, Prof. Heri also alluded to the Integrity Zone which will be implemented within the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia. One manifestation of the implementation of ZI (Zone of Integrity) within the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia, is gratification control. Gratification control starts from the simplest thing. Prof. Heri appealed to lecturers and teaching staff at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia to report to the ZI (Integrity Zone) management team if some fellow lecturers or students give gifts in any form ahead of the Eid al-Fitr holiday.
