The Dean Candidate Selection Committee (PSCD) of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI), has officially announced three candidates for the position of FTUI Dean for the 2025-2029 term who have passed the administrative verification process. The selection process was carried out by the FTUI PSCD team on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, and was ratified through a PSCD plenary session at the university level on Friday, January 10, 2025. The three candidates who advanced to the next stage are:
- Prof. Dr.-Ing. Amalia Suzianti, S.T., M.Sc.
- Prof. Kemas Ridwan Kurniawan, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D.
- Dr.-Ing. Ir. Mohammad Adhitya, S.T., M.Sc.
Congratulations to the three FTUI Dean Candidates for successfully passing this initial stage of the selection process! They will proceed to the following stages: presenting their vision and mission and participating in interviews with the Rector and the university’s leadership team.
The selection process for the FTUI Dean is part of a broader series of steps that began on December 27, 2024, and will continue until January 30, 2025. These steps include various activities such as outreach, registration and document uploads, administrative verification, public input, and vision-mission presentations in front of the UI leadership.
The PSCD-FTUI team conducted the PSCD-FTUI team verified administrative documents on January 7-8, 2025. The names of the Dean Candidates were officially announced on January 13, 2025, and public input will be accepted from January 14 to 16, 2025, through the official website pemilihandekan.ui.ac.id.
The Rector of Universitas Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Ir. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU, expressed his hope that this selection process will result in a leader who is committed and competent in driving Universitas Indonesia toward more outstanding excellence at both national and global levels.
The Chair of PSCD FTUI, Prof. Dr. Ir. Tresna Priyana Soemardi, S.E., M.Si., IPU.ASEAN.Eng stated, “As part of a transparent and participatory selection process, FTUI invites the academic community and the general public to provide input on these three candidates. This process will result in a visionary leader who can further advance FTUI in education, research, and community service. We encourage the entire FTUI academic community to actively participate by providing support and feedback during the selection process.”
In addition to FTUI, the Dean selection process is ongoing at several other faculties within Universitas Indonesia, including the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, the Faculty of Nursing, the Faculty of Dentistry, and the School of Environmental Science.
