On (24–28/10/22), Universitas Indonesia (Ul) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) held a Cybersecurity Curriculum Development Workshop in Bali. This activity is a form of cooperation between UI and JICA in the Human Resource Development project, in which the collaboration between UI and JICA has been carried out since last May 2019.
This workshop was attended by staff or lecturers in the field of IT, from various countries in ASEAN, Mongolia, and Timor Leste. The speakers at the workshop this time were FTUI Electrical Engineering Lecturers, JICA Consultants, and representatives from the EC-Council and CompTIA.
Dean of the UI Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, ST., M.Eng., IPU., gave his speech in holding this workshop. “The Human Resources Development Project for professional cyber security is organized to produce professional resources in the field of cyber security. With this workshop, it is hoped that the Cyber Security curriculum that has been designed by the UI Faculty of Engineering can be distributed to the participants,” said Prof. Harry.
The workshop activities which were held for 5 days (24–28/10) filled with different topics each day. Day 1: Understanding the SecBoK/NICE framework and introduction to the Cybersecurity curriculum in UI session 1. Day 2: definition of the curriculum using SecBoK Session 1 Day 3: introduction to the Cybersecurity curriculum in UI session 2. Day 4: definition of the curriculum using SecBoK session 2. Day 5: curriculum revision method.
With this workshop activity, namely, through the material provided on Cybersecurity, it is hoped that it will become a platform for FTUI and UI to make a big contribution and impact to support the development of superior Human Resources.
