On January 24-25, 2024, the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Indonesia (FTUI), particularly from the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Unit (WIN) and the Student Affairs, Research, and Community Service Unit (KPPM), organized a Training of Trainers (ToT) at the Alana Hotel & Conference Center, Sentul. The ToT participants included 21 young lecturers from 7 departments who were directly taught entrepreneurship content by Aswin Dewanto Hadisumarto, S.E., MIA, and Dr. Rambat Lupiyoadi, SE., ME. Both speakers are from the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Indonesia (FEB UI).
The ToT event commenced with a speech by Dr. Muhamad Sahlan, S.Si., M.Eng., the Head of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Unit. In his address, Dr. Sahlan conveyed that the purpose of this activity is to provide an understanding of the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and a guide on how to design entrepreneurship introduction materials. These young lecturers will later deliver entrepreneurship content to FTUI students of the 2023 intake in classes scheduled for February 2024.
“This Entrepreneurship ToT activity is expected to equip lecturers for the teaching activities starting in February 2024. In addition, it is hoped that lecturers can understand and apply the knowledge gained during the training,” said Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU, Dean of FTUI.
Furthermore, Mr. Kenny Lischer, Ph.D., the Assistant Head of the Entrepreneurship Centre & Business Incubator Unit, explained the agenda for Entrepreneurship FTUI 2024. The Entrepreneurship FTUI 2024 agenda includes ToT Entrepreneurship, Introduction to Entrepreneurship, Entrepreneurship Club, Building Skin in The Game, KPI and Goals, Design Thinking, BMC (Business Model Canvas), Entrepreneurship Camp, Prototyping Product, Intellectual Property, MVP (Minimum Viable Product), Managing Start-Up Finance, and How to Successfully Pitch.
During this ToT, the topics taught to the young lecturers include an introduction to entrepreneurship and building skin of the game by Mr. Aswin and KPI and Goals by Mr. Rambat. At the end of the session, the young lecturers grouped themselves according to their departments and reorganized the content presented by Mr. Aswin and Mr. Rambat, which will be delivered to FTUI students in class.
