Improving Student Academic Services, FTUI Holds SBA Training

The replacement of the FTUI management team in early 2022 includes the selection and inauguration of the faculty and departmental management teams. This includes person(s) in charge of Academic services, namely Vice Dean for Education, Research and Student Affairs, Associate Dean for Academic, Heads of Departments, Secretaries of Departments and Heads of Study Programs. At the same time, preparations for filling the IRS even semester 2021/2022 also begin.

To ensure that administrative and academic services to FTUI students are not disrupted by the change of the FTUI management team, the Human Resources unit in collaboration with the Academic unit of the Faculty organizes a One Day Training for The Know How of Academic Sub Division (SBA) SIAK NG (25/01) . The training event was attended by the Vice Dean, Associate Dean for Academic, Heads of Departments, Department Secretaries, Heads of Study Programs and the SIAK NG SBA team within FTUI. As the sole speaker, I Gde Dharma Nugraha, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., a lecturer at the Department of Electrical Engineering, FTUI who is also an SBA Advisor for SIAK NG FTUI.

In his opening remarks, the FTUI Education Manager, Dr. Nyoman Suwartha expressed his appreciation for the willingness of the faculty and department of FTUI to take the time to participate in the SIAK NG SBA training. “The purpose of this training is to introduce SIAK NG features to the new FTUI administrators in field one. Some of us may be seeing the SBA feature for the first time at SIAK NG. This training also aims to discuss cases and problems that may be faced by them while filling out the IRS this semester.”

“SBA or the abbreviation of Academic Subdivision is one of the user categories of SIAK NG who are in charge of education providers. The functions of the SBA include Curriculum Management, Lecture Schedule and Exam Schedule Arrangements, Academic Supervisor Arrangements, Student Arrangements and Report Printing. Hopefully with this training, the trainees will be ready to face and serve the needs of students during this even semester filling the IRS,” said I Gde Dharma Nugraha.
