Roosseno Cup V: Fundraising Golf Tournament For FTUI

The fifth Roosseno Cup tournament, which is an annual golf tournament, was again held as a series of events for the 58th FTUI Anniversary on Sunday (17/07). This event was organized by the FTUI Alumni Golfers community (GIFT UI) supported by FTUI Iluni. Held in Bogor Raya Golf Club, this tournament was attended by golf activists from the FTUI alumni circle. The Roosseno Cup Tournament is a sports and charity event (fundraising) aimed at the development of the UI Faculty of Engineering and this year, GIFT UI managed to raise Rp 700 million for FTUI.

Through this fundraising, it is hoped that FTUI can be more advanced and provide wider benefits for the world of education. In addition, with the implementation of Roosseno Cup V 2022, FTUI alumni will be able to further strengthen the relationship, be solid, and compact in a joint effort to build a better Indonesian nation.

“Excellent impact is the thematic Faculty of Engineering UI for the next 4 years, which means FTUI must become a faculty that is superior and impactful, excellent and impactful. Likewise our event today is an event in which there are many positive things. Among them is that after this event is over, the funds collected will be able to have an impact on the campus and for those in need,” said Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, ST., M.Eng., IPU, Dean of FTUI, in his speech.

On the same occasion, the Head of GIFT FTUI, Sehat Maulana also explained the same thing as what was previously mentioned by Prof. Heri, “We will channel 700 million of the collected funds to the Air Mata Biru Foundation for UI Engineering Faculty scholarships and social activities such as aid for victims of natural disasters”.

Sharing information, experiences, and business, the alumni of FTUI mingled after finishing the golf game by eating various dishes and watching various entertainments that enlivened the event. Also present was Prof. Dedi Priadi (representing the Chancellor of UI, Prof. Ari Kuncoro) Saleh Husin (Chairman of the UI Board of Trustees), Anton Firmansyah, ST (CEO of PT. ITI) and Amalia Rooseno (Princess of Prof. Roosseno).
