Preparing Research Collaboration in the Energy Sector, UTM Malaysia Visits FTUI

Universiti Teknologi Malaysia visited the UI Faculty of Engineering in order to establish and enhance cooperation in the fields of education and research, on Thursday (8/9/2022). There are two agendas in this visit, namely discussions about the cooperation that has been established and building research collaborations in the energy sector at the faculty/department/unit/institutional level between FTUI and UTM.

In the discussion agenda that took place, FTUI and UTM agreed to continue to collaborate in the field of education and increase research collaboration, especially in the energy sector. One of the collaborations that have been established is a research collaboration between the Department of Mechanical Engineering, FTUI and the UTM School of Mechanical Engineering.

On this visit, the UTM group was represented by Prof. Dr. Arshad Ahmad, Prof. Dr. Aishah Abdul Jalil, Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Md Pauli Abdullah, Ts. Dr. Sathiabama T. Thirugnana, and Ts. Dr. Mohd Fadhzir Ahmad Kamaroddin. The UTM group was welcomed by the Head of Modirpen Unit, Prof. Dr. Ir. Harinaldi, M.Eng. accompanied by several other FTUI management, Dr.rer.pol. Romadhani Ardi, S.T., M.T., Prof. Dr. Ir. Widodo Wahyu Purwanto, DEA., Dianursanti, S.T., M.T. and several laboratory assistants from the Chemical Engineering Department in the PGN Room, 2nd floor, Department of Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering UI.

Several parties involved in the discussion conveyed information and hopes for the future in establishing cooperation. Deputy Chancellor of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Prof. Datuk Dr Ahmad Fauzi bin Ismail said that his party hoped to strengthen the relationship between UTM and FTUI. After the discussion session ended, the event was continued by visiting the laboratory located in the Department of Chemical Engineering.
