The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI), once again organized assistance for filling out the Annual Tax Return (SPT) for faculty and educational staff. The Annual Tax Return, or SPT, is an essential instrument used by taxpayers to report tax calculations and/or payments, taxable objects, as well as assets and liabilities by prevailing tax regulations.
This assistance activity took place over two days, on March 14-15, 2024, in the Meeting Room on the 2nd Floor of Building I-Cell, FTUI. The assistance involved students from UI’s Vocational School in their 4th semester of the Tax Administration program acting as facilitators. These students assisted FTUI employees in understanding the process of filling out the SPT according to applicable regulations.
Jihan, a student from UI’s Vocational School who assisted as a facilitator, expressed her excitement about this activity. “It’s really exciting! I’ve never been involved in hands-on practice like this before, so this activity allows me to learn more. Although I was initially afraid of making mistakes, gradually I could adapt, and I’m also happy because I could interact with many people,” she said.
“I feel greatly helped by this assistance activity. As an FTUI employee, this assistance provides an understanding of taxes and ensures that I can fulfil my tax obligations better. During the SPT filing, I encountered some difficulties, but the Vocational School students who acted as facilitators promptly found solutions to my problems,” said Putri, one of the UI employees.
On a separate occasion, Prof. Dr. Ir. Heri Hermansyah, ST., M.Eng., IPU., Dean of FTUI, stated, “We highly appreciate the efforts of UI’s Vocational School students in assisting in filling out the SPT for FTUI employees. This activity certainly provides significant benefits for employees in fulfilling their tax obligations while also providing a hands-on learning experience for students.”
With the organization of this assistance activity for filling out the SPT, FTUI employees are expected to understand and fulfil their tax obligations better. The collaboration between FTUI and UI’s Vocational School is one of the efforts capable of providing learning experiences for students while strengthening the quality of administrative management within the campus environment.
