Last Tuesday (02/04), a warm and spirited atmosphere filled Room K301 of Building K at FTUI as the Dean of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Ir. Heri Hermansyah, ST., M.Eng., IPU., met with 71 FTUI faculty members, including PKWT, CPUI, and PUI lecturers. The event, attended by faculty members and the entire leadership of the FTUI Entrepreneur Dean’s Office, served as tangible evidence of the commitment to strengthen bonds and enhance synergy in realizing the vision and mission of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Indonesia (FTUI).
In his address, Prof. Heri Hermansyah not only revealed the outstanding achievements that FTUI has attained in the past two years but also provided an opportunity for faculty members to voice their aspirations directly. “I want to convey the achievements of the Faculty over the past two years as a form of our moral accountability for the entrusted mandate. Let us continue to nurture this camaraderie as the foundation for mutual success,” he said enthusiastically.
Prof. Heri also outlined the achievements of the FTUI Strategic Plan implemented over the past two years, including the implementation of three strategies and eleven flagship entrepreneurial programs. This presentation is expected to motivate both faculty members and the faculty management to continuously improve the quality of education at FTUI and the performance of the academic community, ultimately realizing FTUI’s excellence and impact.
“As we enter the third year of the FTUI Entrepreneur Dean’s Office management, FTUI’s performance contract achievements have consistently exceeded 100%, even nearly doubling or tripling the set targets. Additionally, the Faculty of Engineering at UI has also maintained its position as the best engineering campus for two consecutive years, with significant improvements in citation and international outlook indicators,” stated Prof. Heri.
Furthermore, Prof. Heri highlighted the consistent increase in FTUI’s revenue achieved through close collaboration and cooperation with various industries and institutions, both nationally and internationally. This achievement underscores that the strategies implemented in managing the faculty have brought about significant positive impacts, making FTUI an outstanding and impactful institution.
During his presentation, Prof. Heri also inserted information regarding the Integrity Zone (ZI) that has been established in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Indonesia over the past two years. As one manifestation of the implementation of the Integrity Zone in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Indonesia, Prof. Heri urged faculty members and educators at FTUI to control gratuities by not accepting any form of gifts before Eid al-Fitr, whether from students or FTUI partners, to maintain FTUI’s integrity.
This message was delivered with the hope of upholding high standards of ethics and integrity within the academic environment of FTUI. With a high collaborative spirit, it is hoped that FTUI will continue to evolve into an excellent educational centre that brings positive impacts to society and the nation.
