FTUI and Eni Muara Bakau B.V. Evaluate Implementation of Educational Collaboration

On Wednesday, (6/3), the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI), together with Eni Muara Bakau B.V., conducted a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) meeting to assess the progress of their collaboration in the field of education at the Eni Muara Bakau B.V. office in Jakarta.

This activity served as an opportunity to review the progress of academic activities and academic achievements of Eni Muara Bakau B.V. employees enrolled in the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Engineer Profession Education Program (PPI) at FTUI. Previously, FTUI and Eni Muara Bakau B.V. had signed a Cooperation Agreement related to the RPL PPI Class Collaboration to enhance the competencies of Eni Muara Bakau B.V. employees in environmental management development.

The Eni Muara Bakau B.V. and FTUI Collaboration Class was attended by 15 Eni Muara Bakau B.V. employees enrolled in the RPL PPI program. These employees were prepared to become engineers capable of practising engineering in various technical fields.

Dean of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Ir. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU., stated, “We at FTUI highly appreciate the collaboration between our institution and Eni Muara Bakau B.V., especially in developing the competencies of their employees through the RPL PPI Program. This step marks our commitment to continuously improve the quality of human resources in the engineering field and actively support education relevant to industry needs.”

In his speech, Prof. Ir. Mahmud Sudibandriyo, M.Sc., Ph.D., Vice Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration at FTUI, stated, “With the engineering profession program, it is expected that the competency standards of engineers in Indonesia can meet the needs and challenges of development in technology, industry, and infrastructure in Indonesia. Additionally, we hope this collaboration can proceed smoothly and help Eni Muara Bakau B.V. develop human resources with excellent capabilities.”

After the speeches, Prof. Dr. Fitri Yuli Zulkifli, S.T., M.Sc., IPU., Chair of the PPI Program at FTUI, presented the monitoring and evaluation results regarding achievements and areas for improvement. Additionally, the Program Chair also outlined the activities during the lectures and the titles of engineering practice reports by the students.

Ms. Widianti, Vice President of Human Resources at Eni Muara Bakau B.V., expressed appreciation for FTUI’s efforts in educating Eni Muara Bakau B.V. employees, “We are proud to see our employees graduate and take the professional oath. We also surveyed this lecture program. Additionally, we have plans to continue this RPL PPI education collaboration program. However, we are still evaluating the results of the collaboration in 2023. Furthermore, we also have scholarships for bachelor’s and master’s degrees for Eni employees. Hopefully, in the future, we can expand our collaboration with FTUI.”

From the evaluation and reporting of student learning activities from Eni Muara Bakau B.V., it can be concluded that this educational collaboration program is running smoothly. The students received satisfactory grades and officially became engineers in the first semester of the 2023/2024 academic year.

Prof. Dr. Ir. Akhmad Herman Yuwono, M.Phil.Eng., Secretary of the Interdisciplinary Engineering Education and Research Unit, expressed, “We hope that with these satisfactory results, engineers can bring benefits to various engineering fields in Indonesia.”

This activity was attended by representatives from FTUI, including Prof. Ir. Mahmud Sudibandriyo, M.Sc., Ph.D., Vice Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration at FTUI, Prof. Dr. Ir. Akhmad Herman Yuwono, M.Phil.Eng., Secretary of the Interdisciplinary Engineering Education and Research Unit, Prof. Dr. Fitri Yuli Zulkifli, S.T., M.Sc., IPU., Chair of the PPI Program, and from Eni Muara Bakau B.V., Ms. Widianti, Vice President of Human Resources, Ms. Kemala, and Ms. Astari, Human Resources at Eni Muara Bakau.
