On Monday (4/4), the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI) received a visit from PT Petrosea. PT Petrosea Tbk is a multidisciplinary company that was founded in 1972. The company is engaged in contract mining, engineering, procurement and construction, as well as oil and gas services. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Ing. Ir. Dalhar Susanto, Dr.-Ing. Mohammad Adhitya, S.T., M.Sc., and Dr. Agus S. Pamitran, ST, M.Eng from FTUI representatives, and Adinda Indirasari and Fikry Mubarok from Petrosea.
PT Petrosea Tbk is fully committed to promoting ESG aspects as the continuity of the company’s sustainability strategy. This company was the first EPC company to be listed on the stock exchange, namely in 1990 with Indika Energy as the holding company. PT Petrosea is increasingly strengthening its position as a national company that has international class standards and capabilities.
“Known as a mining company, we want to change that image that this company is already heading towards digitalization in a wider field. Therefore, we want this information to be accessible to students throughout Indonesia, one of which is UI students. We have realized this through collaboration with FTUI. One form of cooperation that we want to realize is holding a webinar,” said Adinda Indirasari.
Dean of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, ST., M.Eng., IPU also shared his response that FTUI is open to cooperation between Petrosea and FTUI. He also added that he did not rule out the possibility of other collaboration opportunities, such as cooperation in the form of scholarships or cooperation in developing FTUI classrooms. We also hope that the cooperation that will be established in the future will not only be temporary, but sustainable.
