CCIT FTUI signed a cooperation agreement with PT Spentera on March 26, 2024. PT Spentera is a national company engaged in providing cyber security services. The purpose of this cooperation is to strengthen the collaboration in information technology between academic institutions and industries, particularly in preparing competent human resources in cyber security. This cooperation agreement was signed by the Director of CEP-CCIT FTUI, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Suryanegara, S.T., M.Sc. IPU, and the Director of PT. Spentera, Royke L. Tobing.

With this collaboration, CCIT FTUI and PT Spentera will implement an industrial internship program and cooperate in using the Virtual Lab Hacktrace Ranges developed by PT Spentera. This virtual lab will facilitate CCIT FTUI students in a realistic simulation environment to learn and test offensive and defensive cyber security technical skills. Offensive cyber security includes skills in conducting attacks and security testing to discover vulnerabilities in a system and network. Meanwhile, defensive cyber security involves skills in detection, prevention, and building security protection systems.

In his remarks, Prof. Muhammad Suryanegara emphasized the importance of cooperation between educational institutions and industries in supporting education and career development for students. “Cyber Security is one of the main industrial sectors that will shape the future of the world. As an educational institution in the IT field, CCIT must continue to update its collaboration with the business and industrial world to ensure that its students gain practical experience and are ready to work directly in the information technology industry.”

Meanwhile, Mr. Royke L. Tobing from PT. Spentera reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting education and human resource development in the field of technology. “We are very excited to collaborate with CCIT FTUI in providing beneficial internship opportunities for students and expanding their access to the Hacktrace Ranges virtual lab,” he said.

Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU, reiterated the institutional commitment of FTUI to produce excellent and impactful graduates, both for undergraduate programs, engineering profession, master’s, doctoral, and professional certification programs. “We are committed to producing excellent and impactful graduates in all education programs. As a special unit under the auspices of FTUI, CCIT FTUI is part of FTUI’s strength in realizing this commitment. In July, FTUI will also celebrate its 60th anniversary, marking the long journey of FTUI in nation-building through contributions to science and engineering technology.”

CCIT FTUI is one of the special units under FTUI that provides a 2-year professional education program ready for work and international standard industrial certification. CCIT FTUI is part of FTUI’s strength to realize this commitment.
