UI Virtual SBMPTN Info Days

Universitas Indonesia has held the UI Virtual SBMPTN Info Days on Friday-Saturday, March 25-26 2022. This event will be held online through the zoom online meeting platform. In its implementation, UI Virtual SBMPTN Info Days has 2 core agendas for 2 days of implementation. The event was opened by the Rector of the Universitas Indonesia, Prof. Ari Kuncoro, SE., MA., Ph.D. and presenting the Chief Executive of LTMPT, Prof. Dr. Ir. Budi Prasetyo Widyobroto, DESS., DEA., Head of PMB UI Office, Dr. Gunawan, ST., MT., Head of Public Relations and KIP UI Office, Dra. Amelita Lusia, M.Si and all Faculty’s Public Relations Officers at the Universitas Indonesia.

In his remarks, the UI Rector said, “We hope that you, ladies and gentlemen, and prospective new students can dig up as much information as possible and make the best use of this opportunity so that they can develop the best strategy towards a dream university, the University of Indonesia. I look forward to all of you (prospective new students) in welcoming new students at the Universitas Indonesia in August.”

On the first day, the LTMPT Executive Chairman, Prof. Dr. Ir. Budi Prasetyo Widyobroto, DESS., DEA., and the Socialization of the 2022 New Student Admission System by the Head of the PMB UI Office, Dr. Gunawan, ST., MT. with moderator Dra. Amelita Lucia, M.Sc. In this exposure session, prospective students asked about the requirements and implementation of the UTBK SBMPTN.

The second day, filled with Faculty Virtual Booth and Faculty Presentations at the Universitas Indonesia. Faculty virtual booths are provided by using the breakout room feature on zoom to facilitate prospective students who want to get more information about the destination faculty while faculty presentations are held in turns. The presentation of the UI Faculty of Engineering started at 13.00 with the resource person the Associate Dean of Public Communication and General Administration of FTUI, Tikka Anggraeni, S.Sos., M.Sc., CPR.

In this presentation, Tikka conveyed information about the general profile of FTUI, such as a brief history, accreditation, including achievements. “FT students are not only smart in academics but also outside of academics. It was recorded that in 2021 there were 122 national achievements and 47 international achievements that were achieved by FTUI students,” said Tikka Anggraeni, S.Sos., M.Sc., CPR. in his presentation.

Tikka also explained some of the latest facilities built at FTUI, including i-CELL, Smart Classroom, Smart Meeting Room, and Bifacial Floating Solar PV. These facilities were built to support learning, especially during a pandemic like now. Furthermore, Tikka conveyed the profile and job prospects of each study program to prospective students who attended the virtual booth. The presentation ended with a question and answer session between prospective students and resource persons.
